Free Seminar for wounded soldiers and adaptive athletes

I was recently given the great honour of attending and assisting a Gracie Survival Tactics course in Bellevue Washington for a week.  It was a special event because it was Jiu Jitsu geared exclusively to survive when your weapon is out of reach for police and military.  The techniques demonstrated also showed the true essence of Jiu Jitsu in that violence was not used nor necessary in the control and arrest tactics.  It was fully empowering for all involved.  It was a great course and an opportunity to meet positively motivated people who care to make a difference and do things right in their communities.. around the world.

Next I was made aware of, and invited to another special event.  This was a free seminar held at Camp Murray Washington for Wounded Warriors and Adaptive Athletes.  Some of the people invited were post traumatic stress, or had been wounded in battle.  It was an opportunity to give back to a community of great people willing to put their lives on the line for what they believe in.  Sharing the principles of Jiu Jitsu with them was so special, and a total honour to be a part of.  Special thank you to Retired General Mike Ferriter and Rener Gracie for putting together the event.  It’s a privilege to work with these high quality people who not only make Jiu Jitsu accessible and understandable to a wider group, they hold an incredibly high standard for the principles and techniques of the art.

Here is a short video on the Gracie Survival Tactics Course, followed by a photo of the Inspired Leadership photo and poster.  GST short clip and testimonial
